Srila Narayana Maharaja left Hawaii at the end of February and stayed in Taiwan for a few days before departing for Calcutta on March 3rd. He then proceeded to Navadvipa on March 5th. On March 6th he installed the Deities of Sri Radha-vinoda-bihari, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Varahadeva and Laksmi-devi, and his Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti Prajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja.

The Deities were thus established in their new, under construction temple, Sri Kesavaji Gaudiya Matha. On arriving at the temple, Srila Narayana Maharaja had a lengthy discussion with the architect, regarding the building and development of the Navadvipa project.

The temple was decorated beautifully. Yellow, orange and maroon marigolds could be seen everywhere, in the form of designs made from a variety of hanging garlands. The altar and vyasasana were decorated elaborately with yellow and orange flowers.

A grand fire sacrifice began that morning around 10 am with traditional designs on the ground made from colored powders, and continuous lovely kirtanas filled the huge pandal.

Devotees from all over the world were gradually arriving, and by the middle of the day, several thousand Western and Indian devotees were assembling in the pandal. The Deities were brought to the altar and bathed, and then Srila Narayana Maharaja went on the altar to perform the installation procedures invoking the presence of their Lordships.

Afterwards, Srila Narayana Maharaja proceeded to his vyasasana, where he called on different Bengali, Hindi and English-speaking sannyasis to speak about the supreme reality and divinity of the Deities.
