Srila Narayana Maharaja arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on April 4, 2007 at about 7 am, after his night flight from Delhi. He was greeted by about twenty Malaysian devotees at the Kuala Lumpur International airport. The devotees offered him flower garlands and obeisances, while his luggage was loaded into the car.

After a day in Kuala Lumpur, Srila Maharaja and his party left for the nearby island of Penang, and they arrived at about 9.30 am, at the beach-side home of Dr. Paramesvari dasa Adhikari and his wife Malati-devi.

When Dr Paramesvari dasa thanked him for coming to their home, he replied, “You and your family’s love attracts me, and then I come.”

Each day, Srila Narayana Maharaja is concentrating on his translations of the original verses of the 11th Canto Srimad-Bhagavatam, but he also finds the time to meet with devotees and perform phone initiations for the many devotees in other countries who do not know when they will have the opportunity to meet him in person.

On April 7th he gave harinama and/or diksa initiation to sixteen devotees in Manila, Philipines, and on April 10th to eight more in Cebu. He also gave initiation over the phone to sixteen devotees on the island of Bacolod, and also to several devotees in Bali.

On the phone to the Manila devotees, Srila Narayana Maharaja explained the beauty, power and glory of the maha-mantra. He told his new sons and daughters not to eat fish or meat, or to drink wine. He instructed them to always chant Hare Krsna and to read his books.
